OSP Director Team Newsletter — January 2022
Release date: 20 January 2022
The Oregon Star Party committee met on January 12th and started the planning process for OSP2022. After two years of bad fortune (2020 cancelled by COVID and 2021 cancelled by fire threat) we are trying to build in as many contingencies as we can to assure that OSP 2022 really happens this coming July 26th – 31st, 2022 at Indian Trail Spring in the Ochoco National Forest.
The biggest change we are working through is that our Shawna’s Latte Truck is no longer in business, and the Prineville Lions Club has sold their mobile food truck, so we are looking diligently for new coffee truck and food service supplier. If anyone knows of a vendor who is willing to obtain or has current a valid food servers license in Crook County, OR and set up for a week at Indian Trail Spring, please have them get in touch with the OSP Committee ([email protected]).
We are also asking for help overall. It takes a lot to put on a star party for 400+ attendees and we had some significant retirements from the OSP Committee this fall. We would love to have you! If you are interested in volunteering, either to help with planning over the winter months, or you want to commit to on-site volunteering, please contact ([email protected]).
