Bio

Howard Banich has been anamateur astronomer since 1966 and an amateur telescope maker since 1969. His main passions are observing and writing about deep sky objects, but has recently discovered an interest for measuring the separations of double stars using speckle interferometry. Howard has been a longtime member of the Rose City Astronomers, has attended all but a handful of the OSP’s and has been a Contributing Editor for Sky & Telescope magazine since 2016.
