NO OPEN FIRES are allowed anywhere on-site!

Charcoal Briquettes are not allow anywhere on site.

While catalytic tent heaters are allowed, please, please be extremely careful when heating them up.

Only Propane barbecues, and propane or white gas stoves are permitted by the Forest Service as long as they are off the ground and not a danger to the surrounding area.

Smoking is permitted only inside a vehicle or on the graveled roadway and smoking materials to be disposed of in a fireproof container or inside your vehicle’s ashtray.

Additionally, the Forest Service requires that you must carry with you in your vehicle a shovel, ax and 5 gallons of water reserved for fire suppression.

If you can not abide by this, you will be asked to leave the OSP.
Even in years when the forest fire danger is relatively low, fires can easily be started and the lives of others endangered.
